  1. While using ArcGIS I have learned how to make layers. Layers are used to show something on a map. For example, you might have a layer of a the United States. You might also make a layer rivers in the United States. When you put the rivers layer on top of the United States layer you will see where there are rivers in the United States.

  2. While using ArcGIS I have learned how to find specifc data about the layer that you are using. To do this you would just right click on the layer that you needed information from. Then find out what you need to know and choose an approprite close and number of color categories.

  5. I learned that on ArcGIS the program can map anywhere but does not have enough data to do oodles. It has old data of a limited quantity. Some overpaid person living in the middle of a Antarctica should write up recent and more old data to add to the program.

It has a lot of function, and even if you are not familiar with high tech bottoms, you can still make a map that looks nice.
